I am considering using synthetic oil in my 1998 Mustang GT, 32000 miles on it to date. Anyone running synthetic and what is the typical change frequency? I have heard 6000 miles is common.

Hi. I think 6000 miles would be no problem . Just check the viscosity ratings for your engine and make sure you get oil in the correct range .

I run full synthetics on all of my stangs over here since day one. Mostly because Ford wants 5w-20 and the modulars seem to run better with it.

BTW, I' love my mustangs, and so does my wife, and my brother and his wife... and here is a few pics of our cars and some of my friends cars...

Those are fantastic photo's silverstangs. I am very much enjoying them.Thankyou. The exhaust outlet on the 2 stangs in the bottom photo look interesting. I bet they sound great.

The red one is a Cobra R with the 5.4L mustang, he went with a Spintech side exhaust. the black one has the Cobra R side exhaust that came from the red one, but the middle muffler was taken out. The Cobra R had 3 mufflers. Alot of people are going with the side exhaust because the exhaust wont clear Watt's Links suspension's and some of the Panhardbars with a live axle. And if your running a 9 inch rear end, you can pretty much forget about running the exhaust out back with a panhardbar, unless you know someone that can do some crazy bends. So we basically have 2 choices, dump the exhaust or going with the side exhaust. They do sound really nice, especially when driving thru a tunnel...

That is at Treasure Island in San Fransico.
We had about 70 cars show up for a small picture day.
