T-5 info wanted - Ford Forums

hey guys, i have been building and selling a kit to put T-5's in studebakers (another hobby, what can i say?). i have been using 85/86 tbird turbo trans as it is longer than a 5.0 but we can only use thes on the milder cars (please note that studebakers dominate the pure stock muscle car drags, the 62-64 cars regularly run in the 12's on all stock equipment and belted tires not slicks). i was reading that the 94 and newer trans is longer than the old 5.0 T-5 is this true? i have never seen a modular motor trans so i am at a loss. what are these going for? i have never seen one for sale so i assume the extra length makes them useless for an old mustang swap but possibly ideal for our street performance cars. thanks, hawkrod
