Well, I really like my 4-speed. Doesn't really make for much of a commuter car, but then again that isn't why I bought it. I really don't care for 3 speeds, seems almost like a waste of a stickshift. I have seen a lot of 5-speed swaps, and I don't feel weight is an issue. If anything, they are probably lighter than the old toploaders, but I might be wrong there.
