Hi,I have a ticking noise from number 8 rocker arm area.When you rev engine,you can hear it.Shimmed and checked rocker,flushed and changed oil.Not as loud,but you can still hear it sometimes.Help?

Somebody said to put a 2 foot 5/8 rubber hose to my ear and listen around the header.Sure enough,it got louder towards the header tube going into the block.It gets quiter when i unplug the spark plug,probably because of less exhaust pressure.! gonna replace exhaust gasket and see what happens.

Usually the exhaust gets quieter after it warms up. Keep us informed.
