Transmission Problem

Hey Guys!

My Mustang Is Giving Me Trouble Lately, Its A 5-speed And When U Try To Get It Into 1st Gear U Have To Kinda Mess With It A Little, U Have To Push The Stick And Move It Around So It Can Take It. After U Get It On First The Next Shifts R Fine. I Was Wondering If It Was The Pressure Plates Or Clutch Or The Transmission Itself. Anyone With This Problem Before?

Re: Transmission Problem

Could be clutch adjustment. If it is not releasing fully you may have trouble. What is it like to get into reverse as this is usually the worst gear to select when clutch is not releasing properly.

Re: Transmission Problem

Its The Same When U Try Gonig In Reverse, Its Releasing Well. This Is Weird Cause When The Engine Is Not Running, There Is Absoultly No Trouble On Getting It Into Any Gears.

Re: Transmission Problem

It Doesnt Do It All The Times It Will Do It Like 9/10, But Like I Said U Have To Wait A Few Seconds Then Start Pushing The Stick And It Will Go, So Who Knows It Might Be A Clutch Adjustment Like You(big Block Ford) Said
