I have a 1989 Ford Mustang with a stock 5.0. The car will only run with the Mas air flow un pluged (runs very well but runs a little rich) When the MAF is pluged up, it acts like it's run out of gas. Have replaced everything you can think of and have had the car scaned about 5 times. No one can find the problem. Can any one HELP.

I would clean the MAF if not already tried. If that does not work then it is time for a new MAF.

Agreed. Time for a new MAF. Contact www.stangparts.com and I'm sure they'll help you out on a good used one. You can also hit up www.summitracing.com and get a new, larger, MAF at a decent price and pull a couple more horses out of your motor.

Put 2 new ones on. Still dose the same thing. Runs good WITH OUT MAS pluged in and acts like it's running out of gas with it pluged up.

Could be a faulty computer, then. It's not common, but it does happen. I'd say it's time to take it to a professional.
