Upgrading alternator

I'm gonna ditch the generator and go with a nice h/o alt :bs1:

I was looking at the 200 amp Mustang alt (at http://www.mralternator.com/alternators/mustang.html) and noticed "1V pulley" and "6S pulley." What's the difference? I assume they are for different engines, but how do I know which I need?

BTW -- before you say I don't need that much power, I'm also planning a KILLER sound system

Hey, thanks a lot for the help!

Well, through another forum, I've learned that MrAlternator.com isn't really a good place to buy high output alts. I was told that their high power only comes at very high RPMs. Why to companies have to be so stupid???

So... I was just wondering if anyone on here knows of a web site where I can look at high output alts? I don't know of any reputable ones; my only source would be starting at Google and searching.

Have a look at http://www.alternatorparts.com/ford_...grade_kits.htm They only go as high as 105 amp, but the price is right. Keep in mind that your 66 doesn't have air, power top, power windows, locks, seats, mirrors like a new Mustang. 105 should do for a big stereo.

I've found another alternator I'm interested in. Has anyone heard of pa-performanece.com? What kinda of rep do they have?

I'm looking for higher output at lower RPM. This one does about 105 amps at 1500 RPM which I think is excellent. I've been searching the net off and on for a while now, and this seems to be the best deal so far.
