i have a 66 200 i6 and say facing the front of the car on the back right of my engine is an adapter with a bolt in it i took it out ofcourse the coolant came out and i was guessing that this was the place for my water temp sencor so i put one in there cause my temp wire is close to that area and was not hooked up but upon looking around i found a website inline six forever or something like that and on this guys head is the same thing i was wondering if anyone knew if i was wrong to do that or where the correct place is cause im stumped the sencor i bout did no fit so i bought an adapter for it and the screw where the wire goes onto does not fit the new sencor please help

Hi . I don't know for sure where the temp sender is situated on a 6 cyl 66 Stang but I doubt you will have done any harm fitting it where you have and it will probably work fine . Maybe some one with a vehicle like this will respond with the answer otherwise I'll have a search to see if I can find some info.
