Hi there stang lovers. I have an 06' 5 speed. I notice there is a winding sound coming from what I believe is the transmission. Nothing crazy, it sounds like there is no gear oil in there kinda winding sound. It runs great. Its that sound that's bugging the hell out of me. When I riding 3rd gear I hear it the most. Kinda like a ying, ying, ying, whistle tone. I owned an 05' briefly and I didn't make that sound. I owned a 73' Datsun that had that same sound. Can someone relate to this situation??

Change the oil in it that could be the problem...it realy might be your diffrential. Although ive have that noise and changed out my diff thinking it was my diff and it ended up being a bad tranny in one of my race cars then I had to take that all apart too and rebuild my tranny. Man I hate corolla's "ae86's" Im just tired of fixing them.
