i was replacing the heater core on thursday so i had to disconnect the battery. it got dark before i finished so i left it disconnected. so when i finished today, i reconnected it, put everything back together, and now when i turn the key, everything comes on like normal (the lights, fuel pump, the dinging for the seatbelt). but then the engine wont start. it wont spin or anything, not even a sound. i took the dashboard back out to see if i left anything disconnected but everything was connected. it's sorta like when you have one of those unprogrammed keys that it opens everything it just wont start the engine. but this is the key i've used since i got the car in 05. so do any of you have any idea what this could be?

my cousin figured out that it was the starter. to check, we did a rolling jump and the car crunk right up. i've read in one of those chilton manuals that a weak battery connection could damage your starter, so that something i should watch out for next time.

Are you sure you don't have a bad connection or earth to the starter or bad battery connection. If the starter worked before then it seems a bit strange it has stopped after the work you did.
