09 focus,low idle

my sister is having issues with her 09 focus 2.0l. she says it idles too low ( around 450-500 rpm ).also pings like spark knock when it is in overdrive. 35k on this car.been to dealer,no dtc detected. car seems to run fine otherwise. don't want to spend a fortune playing hit-or-miss, thought maybe IAC module,or mass air flow? possibly E.G.R. issue? any sugestions?

Re: 09 focus,low idle

THX. she said the dealership cleaned the intake and throttle body.cost was 100.00. I can only asume they would have checked and/or cleaned the MAF. I am trying to gather ideas as to what might cause this problem, she lives in Pa.,I'm in Tn. but i will see her in 2 weeks and am hoping i can narrow it down by then! All ideas are welcome.I will also check Alldata for bulletins on this issue.
