2000 focus it's making me crazy - Ford Forums

i have a 2000 focus with 160.000 miles
the car runs fine in the cold weather but as soon as it reaches 60 degrees the car stalls out and runs real rough... it has been on a daignastic machine and it said nothing was wrong...
when i am driving the car and give it gas it acts like its not getting any... it stutters like it gets gas then it dont and after a couple miles it dies... after it sits for a couple mins and cools off it fires up and runs till it gets warm again
the car does not over heat so i know thats not the problem

if anyone has a suggestion i would be very greatful for any help

I had a similar problem with another vehicle. It turned out that it was the fuel pump in the fuel tank. It's hard to believe that the fuel pump was the problem. When the weather was cold, I could run the car for a mile. After that, my car would stall and I had to wait a long time to re-start. The pump supplied enough fuel only for idling. The car would stall when I tried to speed up.
