i promise not to post anymore pics from now on! Blame it on Fordman for giving me the fordeurope.net address:D

That coupe looks a lot like a mix between Puma (rear) and mondeo (front)

And the 2003 looks a little like Kia Rio at the front i reckon

Quoted from an Email:
-------------------------------------------------------------------

The 2001 Focus S2 is the fourth in a series of factory-customized Focus
models aimed at young, active car-buyers. The S2 follows the Focus Street
Edition, the Kona Mountain Bike Edition, and the Sony Limited Edition. Based
on the two-door ZX3 hatchback model, the Focus S2 features unique interior
and exterior styling cues, an upgraded audio system, and a European-tuned
suspension. Ford says the Focus S2 was inspired by positive consumer
feedback for the Focus Street Edition first shown at the 2000 Miami
International Auto Show.

"Focus S2 reflects the growing desire for a more expressive and aspirational
small car," said Jim O'Connor Ford Division President. "We had such an
overwhelming response from customers to Street Edition, particularly the
European-tuned suspension, we decided to utilize it also on the three-door
ZX3 model. We were able to deliver the new S2 in only six months. "

On the exterior, the S2's body kit features a unique front spoiler and
rocker panels which give the car a more muscular appearance. Colour-keyed
bodyside mouldings, a rear spoiler, six-spoke 16-inch aluminum wheels and a
chrome exhaust tip complete the sporty exterior appearance. The Focus S2
uses the same springs, dampers, and anti-roll bars found on the European
Focus ZX3, offering more aggressive handling, feel, stability and grip.
These modifications improve upon a front suspension that incorporates
zero-offset geometry to improve stability, and MacPherson struts for better
steering feel. ZX3's fully independent multi-link rear suspension provides
excellent handling.
Inside, S2 features a six-disc in-dash CD changer and sport bucket seats
with diamond-patterned inserts. The powertrain is the same as the standard
ZX3: a 2.0 litre DOHC Zetec 4 cylinder engine with 130 horsepower and 135
ft-lb. of torque and a standard five-speed manual transmission or optional
four-speed automatic.

The S2 will be available in CD silver, Sangria Red and Liquid Grey, the
latter a colour exclusive to the S2.
A limited number of Focus S2's will be built, and they're expected to be in
showrooms by this Summer. Prices have not yet been announced.

That's a smart move. They're roughly the same size cars and it gives us a slim chance of getting the focus here... :mmm:

I not sure if this is still the case, but i read about the cosworth a while ago and they were going to leave it 2 wheel drive. Is that still the case.?I expect a front wheel drive with cosworth power would make for short lived front tyres.I owned a rear drive cossie Sierra and that thing struggled for traction as a rear wheel drive .I guess thats why they made the cossie sierra 4x4 after that.

confused

You'd think any Cosworth Focus would be AWD to link it to the WRCar... If it's not going to be AWD, then you can put that down to the sheir intelligence of the marketing/accounting departments of the Ford Motor Company... useless pricks if ever their were any... :fmad:
