You'd think so, but then we've learnt that the smart thing to is often what Ford fails to do. You'd think they would see the exposure WRC has given Subaru, Bitsof****i, etc, but perhaps the parent Ford co isn't giving motorsport the renewed focus Ford Australia is.

The Focus RS which will be released soon (in Europe and US) will be Front wheel drive, Turbo 2.0L with about 170+kw. They say even with only 2wd its still faster than a WRX.
There will be an AWD Focus in 2003 which will have 220+kw I think.

I must admit, I thought the RS was the top line 2wd variant with the Cosworth being the AWD 300hp+ sucker linked to the WRCar...

God I wish the Focus would come to Oz, atleast give us the engine, gearbox etc and we can put it in the Laser.:mad3:

Thank christ for that.A 220 kw awd car of that size is going to be a rocket ship.Roll on 2003 and i hope it comes down under.:wink2: :wink2:

I think we're gunna have to wait until the production of the Focus moves to asia somewhere. Rumour has it that starts with the 2003 model. Wouldn't have a clue if that's true or not though. Be nice to get the suckers here though. Replace the astina, sorry the laser, with the focus... :mmm:
