2006 ford focus zx5 ses problems

here are my problems with my car and if anyone can help with a fix please let me know as the tech at Ford talks to me like an idiot.

the kms on my car are currently 33,000 and this has been going on since 5,000km.

sometimes the car is hard to start. you can hear it trying to turn over but the connection just isn't happening. It always ends up starting but takes quite a few times to get it going. This doesn't happen all the time but it does a lot and never when I take it back to Ford.

also I have a sunroof so I don't know if that matters but when it rains heavily I can hear water slooshing around when I drive away. The dealer told me that it is normal for the water to drain this way down the door but it's really loud once I move my car forward so it has to be pooling somewhere first.

If anyone else has these problems please let me know or even if you know how to fix them because Ford tells me its all in my head.

This is a $30,000 car with all the extras and I am not happy with it and it is my first new car ever in my life after driving lots of crappy cars in my life and I am ticked that Ford doesn't take my concerns seriously

So please help

Re: 2006 ford focus zx5 ses problems

I just purchased a used 2006 zx5 SES and love it! I've driven it for only about 1200 miles but I haven't experienced any problems. It always starts fine and i sure don't have any water slooshing sounds coming from sunroof or anywhere. Have you taken your dealer for a ride to experience what you are? I'd try that - that should resolve any wacko thougts he may have.

Contact Ford's head office in Michigan and/or take it to another dealer for a second opinion. In my area alone there are 3 dealers (one SVT). Take the car through an automated car wash and see if the sunroof problem persists when you drive away. If it does, then tell the service manager to go along with you through the wash so he/she can see what you're talking about.
