So I have a few questions about my 2007 Ford Focus. First is there another engine can put in it besides the 2.0? I feel like this could be a fun car if its possible. Second, is it possible or worth the time to convert it from a FWD to RWD?

I think it would be, you never really see a car like that all nice and sporty.

How are your welding skills? You'll need a hum to accommodate the drive shaft, a revamping of the front end to support an inline engine as well a rear differential. Space for the tranny at the fire wall and in the engine compartment for what ever block you use. You might need to re-enforce the springs all the way around for the added weight. There's quite a bit of planning for this, how big of an engine are you looking at?

Easy to drop the 2.3 into it . Big job and big headache to change to rear wheel drive .

Not looked for a while but we used to have plenty of magazines over here in the UK specialising in dropping big engines into Ford Focus variants .Usually with a walkthrough with pictures .Sure there must be something similar in your neck of the woods .

My welding skills are pretty decent and i was just curious on how big of a job it would be is all. I dont have anything planned yet. Just looking around to see what others opinons are.

I dunno, if your going that far, I think I'd rip out the back seat and put the engine there.
