Been meaning to post this for a while but finally got my arse in gear and got typing.
Was flicking through last Fridays Cars Guide (Herald Sun) and Strappford are advertising BRAND NEW Ford Focus ST170's for $27,990 and BRAND NEW 3-door Zetec's for $22,990!!!!! What a bargain!
The add lists the RRP for the ST170 as $33,620, but on the ford website it still lists as $37,000. Either way this is a saving of over $5000 for each car. It even has savings of $7000 on brand new BA Fairmont Ghia's!
It has got me really tempted and i am going to enquire online if i can add the ford employee discount on top of the ST170 price!
if thats true i'll be rightly pissed off, being that i just spent 27grand on a zetec 3 months ago.....i mean....it'd be a good thing over all...but means if i hada waited 3 months i coudla got an st170! hmmm...might have to trade up the zetec!

If trees could scream...would we be so cavalier in cutting them down?
.....maybe.....if they screamed all the time for no good reason.
Please dont hate me but receieved a call from Strappford after i emailed them and it was an oversight on both our parts.
They printed a photo of a ST170 with the price, but it actually had it listed as a Zetec- bit sneaky on there behalf i reckon, but i prob should have noticed (it really pisses me off when dealers advertise cars with pics of totally different cars)
Still, can save $5500 on brand new Zetecs! A base 3- door manual will only cost $22,990. Keep haggling and i am sure you get some some 17" wheels or kit thrown in, which makes it pretty damn attractive price
just what we bloody need... $5 grand discounts to totally rip the backbone out of Focus Zetec resale prices. They're doing another EL Falcon job. Brilliant.
Whilst that is true Zetec, as far as i know I have only seen Strappford offering such savings. The EL Falcon deal was a dealer wide offer. Having said that, it defintently isnt a great position to be in....
Tell him he's dreamin. Then again even at 33k, with onroads it's still around the 36k mark and that's brand new... i reckon i could find it cheaper and brand new... not that i'd still not buy it he he he
