AMAZING cheap bodykit won on Ebay - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Hey all,

Some of you may remember myself posting a link to an auction on Ebay for a factory bodykit (front bar, skirts + rear bar) for $250 a couple of days ago, only to change it and get rid of the details so nobody else could see it!!! Tim and myself ended up going halves on the kit and thus I have scored a $125 front bar and second reversing light and Tim has scored himself $125 of side skirts and rear bar. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me!! It's an unpainted kit, but is official factory Ford ABS plastic and we couldn't believe the deal. Keep your eyes peeled on Ebay for good deals as this early into the life of the car in Oz there is practically NOBODY bidding.. considering we won it on our first bid of $250 which was the starting price!!!!!!

Tim rang Ford to ask them if he has to install the second reversing light on his car if he puts on the rear bar and they had no idea why it was needed... so it can be safely assumed that nobody will ever care, especially the cops!!! Not as if installing the bodykit and still having the rear fog will be bad, I think it's just an issue of slightly decreased visibility of the single foglight when the kit is put on as it raises the edge around the light.

Kymera4 may remember me blabbing on about getting a new one installed and finding out from ford how much it cost... just to make it more visible and considering I have never used that stupid rear foggy anyway and may only ever use it once in my lifetime... so Tim isn't fussed and I have 2 problems solved!!! A new reverser and new front bar to replace the front black rubber understrip that Ford damaged at my last service! I can get them to paint it cheap for me instead and install it since they owe me a new black understrip, i'm happy to pay the cheap painting and that keeps them happier too as they only pay labour and not a new part now.

now now zetec....i do believe our cars are becoming even more alike with this addition don't ya think.... oh by the way....anybody going over for the FPV open day in febuary? might be heading over with my foci....

too far for me to go to the FPV open day... but Kymera4 I'm working on the tint and front bar now so yeah... looking out for a rear wing to finish the job but don't really care much about the rest of the kit, it's not necessary. Plus I can't afford it. I'll be sure to let you guys know of any acutions I'm not bidding in

Heh heh ... and FPV Day? Oh! For your FPV Focus!!

I have only ever seen one other thing on ebay for the Focus, and no wonder nothing shows up when you search "FOCUS" - they had spelled it FOCAS!!! Pretty bad considering the word Focus was printed on it (framed picture)!

heh heh. no fpv focus...though i wish it was. i'm heading over with my parents car club, i'll be heading over to herrods while im there but probably won't have time or money to get anything done to the foci this time...and plus...the fpv open day is for all fords...not just fpv vehicles....last year i went and found there were the good ol gt car clubs, plain fords....tickfords fpvs etc etc...i remember even seeing a few cobras and a gt40. good fun day.
