Hello, I have a Ford Focus 1.8 TDCI of year 2002. I have a problem that occurs occasionally when the car has been a long time in the sun. I turn on the car and I start without any problems, but if after a few hundred meters I have to stop and I can not restart immediately, but I wait a few minutes, when I restart, the car loses power and tends to shut off. If I try again I have no other problems and the car starts without problems. The problem does not always occur, but any time, and only in the conditions I described. Mechanics don't know to solve the problem, because they can not reproduce it, occurring only in the particular case that I described above. Has anyone had the same problem? How do you solve? Okay well how many miles are on the car, and are the dash lights flickering at all when it happens? Do you see the battery light come on, does she have a very ruff idle before she die's, and what does it sound like when your turning and it's not starting? Normal?

My car have 170000 KM. The dash lights don't flicker when it happens. The battery light don't come on. No sound, all OK. When I restart car all is OK. She doesn't have ruff idle before she die's. The only problem is a lost of power when I lift the clutch pedal. There is no problem to restart the engine, the problem is when I lift the clutch pedal and car lost power. It seems that fuel does not reach the engine. The electronic diagnostic indicates a problem with the engine intake. But all mechanic and electronic components are OK, and diesel contains the cleaning liquid for impurities. A car that turns off while crossing a busy intersection is dangerous.

Today I'm started with my focus after a day under the sun, and when I'm normally going on my road the engine was shutting down and injection ligth was on. I stopped my car in the right side of the road, and I turned off the engine and turned on it. Then I restarted and when I'm starting from stopped, car doesn't start well. After some chilometers all ok. For the electronic test the problem is the diesel to the engine, but the component that produce the problem can be various, and the mechanic doesn't know what component is brokken. When the mechanic test the car all is ok. When I drive my car the problem is all days, but when the mechanic test the car all is ok. It is dangerous car shuts down in the road. What can I do if mechanic doesn't know how to resolve my problem ? Not an only mechanic, but 2 mechanics doesn't know how to resolve this problematic problem.
