I am thinking the old XR8 5.0L Windsor would be easier for the sake of parts after the fact.
The 4.6 fits though with the Kugel kit...
I think the current Boss fits too actually....

I'm working on trying to get a v8 upgrade for my car now a 5.4 lt supercharged v8 out of a ford cobra along with all the running gear will fit in convincing vicroads to allow it on the road is another thing you can get it done for around $100,000 and allow 3 months for all the mods but people should also consider a turbo upgrade with some foci capable of around 850 hp
