anyone replace the clutch on a 2.0 Zetec? (2003 ZX5 manual)
I have a 2003 ZX5 2.0 Zetec manual transmission. Clutch seems to be shot. A mechanic I know said the fluid has leaked from the transmission onto the clutch plate and now it's slipping. Dealer wants 1150, I think i can get this done for 650, as long as the parts are: Clutch Kit, Trans fluid and a new seal. Has anyone done this? Is the transmission easy to drop to get to this, (can it be done with some jacks in a driveway) or do i need to lift the engine out to get at it?
