chevaps, you can deduce where your car was built by looking at the VIN sequence. Should read WFOBXXD something if it's a Focus off the top of my head. Check out the following link and here's a VIN for example.... a 3dr July 2004 complied Zetec sample.

WFO = Ford Werke A.G (Germany)
B = 3 door hatchback
XX = standard digits in all vins
G= Germany Assembly line
C=Saarlouis (Germany)
D=Focus
B=3 Door Hatch
4=2004 Build
C=May build
55555= (just made this up for security reasons) 5 digit production sequence number
