just took off my bmc air filter and put the paper one back ... feeels like crap now - what im sayin is it makes a good diff espicially when flooring it on the motoorway .... oh yeh
Noticed the same when I took my K & N out to clean about 3 weeks ago, the paper filter just felt sluggish and had no top end!!!
Was it easy to clean? I seem to recall that you need to buy a kit for that....... I could be wrong and would be happy about that! Had mine in for about 10,000km, I think it might need it.
Drop in panel filter and full exhaust (standard cat is poo but cat back if you're not willing to spend the money) is the standard basic mods, plus the 2.0L Auto Air Deflector if its a manual.
From there you start looking at more money in a chip (expensive but good), larger throttle body (which only gives you like 2hp for your 500 bucks or so), and adjustable cam sprockets.
And brother, you do need a filter cleaning kit, has the required oil for re-oiling after a clean, the kit details how to clean it.

Ok,cheers for that i guess i need to know the best place to get the panel filter,auto air deflecter and exhaust from for now and ill see how it goes.Also is the chip a job for a tuning shop or can i do it myself.

Finally the zorst, many ppl have their own opinions on them as some like custom made ones from exhaust specialists but theres also herrod motorsports that do focus ones n also remus sports exhausts. It all pretty much boils down to personal opinion and how much you are willing to spend. Thats my 2 cents 4 the day.
