Hello peoples,

I saw on a ffoc.co.uk forum that the Ghia's computer can be fitted to the standard Foci as the cabling is already wired in the car for it. I've also found out that the LX and Zetec models also have optional Climate Control in Europe. Is it possible to get the parts for the climate control pack and install them? That's one thing my zippy Zetec lacks that my big fat AU Fairmont Ghia had.

If I could have the ultimate Zetec it'd have the Ghia climate control, the 6 stacker in the dash and the trip computer with variable speed wipers also... why is it such a massive jump from Ghia to Zetec?!!! Boo!!!!!! That and the fact thae ST170 also get's the rear passenger roof light which rocks and the auto down and up windows of the Ghia on both sides would maake it the perfect daily driver!!! If only I had the cash. The trip computer alone costs a good $400 to $500 to install brand new I believe, most people in the UK look through the wreck yards to score the bits cheaply and even then it ain't cheap due to it's popularity.

Anyhow I'm over trying to convert my car into something it isn't (Ghia) because I'm totally happy with the way it is, it's just the wanky little extras that I can do without that I need to get over!!! Next time I'll buy all those features if need be... an XR8 with Luxury Interior Package in Merc Silver .. mmmmmm yes please!!!

I think it'd be a doddle to fit the ghia variable speed wiper on the focus. I've already tried removing the standard focus wiper, and if the ghia wiper is a straight swap, it'd be simple to order it in from Ford spares and replace the wiper. The single speed intermittent is driving me nuts!
