Our 2007 Ford Focus is malfunctioning. The engine turns off when pushing the brakes, mostly when waiting for a traffic light to turn green. This is sporadic and when driving it may happen too, while braking to slow down. I talked to an acquaintance (a retired mechanic) and he commented that the vacuum to the brake or the booster may be the root cause. Has anyone experienced this problem?
