I have a 2001 Focus with 34k miles the engine warnng light came on. I thaught it was because it was due for an oil change how do I reset it to see if that was it

i dont know if you have already had it checked by now, but if the car still runs fine than chances are an 02 sensor might be bad. just go to the dealership and have a diagnostic check done.

I have a 2000 focus and I have the same problem. I went and had the diagnostic check done and it was the 02 sensor. You will not pass inspection if its not fixed!

I have a 2002 Focus and the engine warning light came on a few days ago. It is sitting at Ford right now getting checked out. I hope it's nothing major. Thank goodness for warranty!

Just got the results of my engine warning light. Like the rest of you, it was the same sensor that went bad. It's under warranty so I'm not wroried.

Yup the 02 sensor. It's under warranty too.

if you have the full blown race header like me you will need to purchase a m.i.l eliminator which corrects the engine light from coming on. its like 40ish bucks it is an 02 sensor cheater.
