I'll have my new ST170 soon, hopefully a week or so.

Here's the July 02 edition of EVO that should interest y'all. It's got a review trying to find Britain's best handling normal car. ST170 makes it through to the final round. As well as a tyre review which uses the ST170 as it's test car.

The Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 wins (different to the tyre on the 17s on the Zetec), and the OEM tyre comes 2nd overall. Interesting reading for a tyre geek, like myself.

Again I'll point out that the 17's are not Zetec rims... I don't know how many times this is confused! They are optional across the range for the same price.

Interesting article, someone had previously made mention that the newer D3 F1's were a more grippy compound than the D2's on the optional 17's. Not sure I'll go with Eagle F1's again just for the road noise, but they have been good to me so far in the short time I have had them.

Ah, OK, well I meant to just clarify that the 17s optional rims have different tyres to the G3s that won the review.

Yeah for sure.... did you mean the OEM optional 17 inch (D2) tyre comes second overall, or the OEM ST170 tyre (continentals i believe?)?

Ok, yep, I heard they have received good reviews but cost a fair bit of cash if you want to put them on something with lesser rubber! You get what you pay for though (in most cases).

Good that they use the ST170 as the car to benchmark them!
