As it is a 2008 model then you should return it immediately to the dealer as it will still be under warranty. If the vehicle will not start then your Ford dealer should come to your house to repair it free of charge. Do not attempt to fix anything as you do not want to void any warranty on the vehicle. Ford should sort the problem out for you.

Any codes showing? There are a lot of sensors under the hood. TPS, IAC, MAF are the more important ones that can affect engine performance. A tune-up with new plugs might help. If your battery is more than two years old, I'd get it tested along with the alternator. Some electronically controlled engines will do weird things if the charging system isn't just right.
