Focus SE 2002 Powersteering - Ford Forums

I own a 2002 Ford Focus with 33 125 miles . When it rains I seen to have a problem with the power steering. But this happens on 80% of rainy days.
When I drive at low speeds I am sometimes unable to turn left or right.I continue then straight forward to the next intersection and in the mean time the power drive comes back and I can turn 90 degree.
The mechanic men of my small garage replaced the rack-and-pinion gear and my Ford dealer replaced the sensor switch...with no result.
I would realy appreciate some help as I am scare now that this problem could happen when I drive at higher speed !

If there's no squealing noises then suspect the pump.
