hi i have a w reg focus and the idicators wont work, the fuse isnt blown,every now and again my left indicator comes on but it doesnt flash its just on and i have to take the fuse out to make it go off, there was a towbar fitted with a fault on the cable which caused the fuse to blow so i have taken all the tow bar electrics out and replaced the fuse. any ideas?

Might want to check the flasher/hazard switch, or check for loose connections.

Some times the flasher will play games like your describing.

Same thing happened to me this week. The fault is in the hazard warning switch. On some Focus models the switch incorporates the flasher relay (I bought a seperate relay and dismantled the car looking for it!!). You can tell if this is the case as there wil be a metal heatsink on the back of the switch. If this is the one, the part number is 98AG13A350. I got one off ebay for about a fiver.

To get to the switch you need to remove the stereo and undo the four screws holding the panel with the heating controls on. The lot comes out then. YOu don't, as one Ford dealer said, need to take the whole dash out!
