Hi,

Does anyone know weather the ford focus stereo has a security code that needs to be entered if the battery get disconnected?.

Yes, it does. It should have been supplied on a card.

yep, the code should have been supplied with the manuals for the car.

Dont forget they also write it on the back of the head unit as well... Just incase it is stolen the the thieves dont remember to grap your manual as well.

Not the security code they don't Russ, just the serial number. If you weren't supplied with a card, contact your local Dealership.

Mine didnt come with a card. Went in the next day to see whats up with the card and i was told for my deck it didnt have a security code. Thought nothing more of it.

BUT when it came to hooking up my sub n amp and reconnecting the power plug, guess what i got asked for......... a bloody code!!
A quick shuffle through my service log book found it on the purchaser details sticker, so lucky it was there!

I just disconnected my battery, as i'm getting a whole new install in my foci.. but I reconnected my stereo and it needs the CODE.
I have all the bits of paper that came with my car, but I don't have any codes....
What does the piece of paper look like? The only paper I have is the "dealer something thing" (hahaha) It has 8 digits on it but looks like it's referring to the key.

Do you think i'll need to contact the ford dealership??
