what is the point without the RS? will they have the ST170 instead?
no performance model (and i dont meanpainting it yellow, sticking a bodykit and alloys and a chrome exhaust tip on it) will mean the whole exercise is a waste of time. oh...and price it in line with astra.
did i ask if there was going to be an RS?

Not yet, though we have been told to tell our friends.
Then that is good enough for me. You need to make that clear because without that comment the thread would have gone!

FORD is expected to confirm today that it will axe its Laser small car and replace it with the European Focus.
A senior Ford spokesman confirmed yesterday a "big announcement" was imminent but declined to give details.
The Focus, as a five-door hatch or four-door sedan, is tipped to go on sale before the end of the year, with a sporty three-door version to arrive later. It is expected to come with a 84kW 1.8-litre engine.
The decision to drop the Laser comes only a few months after the car's 21st birthday. Despite improved sales recently, the Laser has failed to ignite buyers.
