I have a Y (2000) plate Ford Focus Diesel estate 1.8

I parked her up last night on the road. No problems.

Came to her this morning to start her but nothing.

Put the key in and turned and it is as if there is no starter motor there. No sounds at all.

The ignition lights come on, I can turn on the head lights, they are fine. The key turns ok. But no sound what so ever.

Any ideas folks?

Update. Found the problem. It was the starter motor. Tapped it with a hammer and it sorted the trick. I suspect the bushes are on the way out, so next job is to change it.
