I have a Ford Focus 1999. The drivers el. window is a bit funny though. When I want to close it with the one touch all the way it goes up and then comes back down. I have to do it in small steps to shut it completely. Does anyone know what causes it and can it be fixed cheap.

I have a 2000 ZX3 with one failed power window and one which is really trying hard to fail. I have seen notices that it has something to do with the failure of the clips that hold the window in the track.

The Passenger window in my car does what I think you are eluding to, it;s due to one of the clips coming loose and the window jamming in the track.

Any help of this from people who have fixed it themselves would be appreciated.

If you have a manual for your car it may state something like
a "learning" mode for your "smart"-windows.
as you unplugged the battery you probably have to reset the
memory of your windows
In Europe we have a description in our manual
