Ford Focus V Reg - Rear Brake Bulb Replacement

Hi everyone

Can someone please help me, I have noticed that my drivers side brake light is no longer working.
can someone please tell me how to get the cover off to replace the bulb, I don't have a manual as I have just recently bought the car and have very limited knowledge.

Many thanks in Advance

Sorry about this, but a friend at work has showed me the model is a 1.4 v reg climate control ford focus hatch back 2001
if anyone wishes to know how to get the rear lights off.

you will need - phillips screwdriver

open the hatch and there is a small screw half way down the light, between the light cluster and the rubber seal which goes around the boot.
unscrew this and then inside the boot behind the light there is a hole with a thumb screw, the hole is about 2.5 inches in diameter, bend in and you can see it. unscrew this also.
now if you wiggle the light cluster after a while it will come free , dont be afraid to give it a yank but be careful as the wires are still attached.
when it comes free turn either bulb holder left and it should now expose the bulb to replace.

to return it just do the reverse.
should only take approx 15 mins from start to finish

hope this helps someone else

Excellent post!!!

FYI - If anyone else is reading this then my advice is to IGNORE the Haynes manual - I've just spent 20 min taking bits of my trim off that I did not have to
