I went to my local dealer about installing a new disc on my '03 SVT w/6 speed and the dealership told me that Ford will not work on my trans because Ford made the 6 speed obsolete and i must purchase a new 5 speed for $4,500!!! They refused because Ford told them they are NOT allowed to work on them!!! I explained that i have 100k drive line warrenty and Ford needs to pay for the swap. I purchased the SVT knowing it was the best Ford had to offer.....so how can Ford do that??? Anyone else hear about this??? Im pissed at Ford and will be in direct contact with SVT on this. Why do i have to pay for what Ford did?

sounds like they just dont wanna do it. if you have warrenty just take it to another dealer..

I'd try another dealer also. If all else fails contact Ford directly about the problem. As the car is under warranty you shouldn't have any trouble. All the standard transmission vehicles I've owned over the years have lasted over 240,000kms (149,000miles) before any major work was required - including my '91 Mustang LX 5.0 hatchback.
