Hi guys
I just bought a new SR auto hatch a couple of weeks ago and I am really stoked with this little thing. I have had falcons for my last 5 or 6 cars including a BA turbo.
I'll admit it doesnt go all that hard but I love driving it all the same.
One thing that really irritates me is the brake dust on the front wheels. Every couple of days I'm having to clean the wheels.
Is there a replacement pad any of you guys are using that doesnt dust like the OEM pads and also doesnt wear the discs too badly?
Any advice appreciated
yeh lol i wash my car every week and it is always clean but the front wheels dirty after 5 minutes driving eh well what can u do ay who cares bout it anyway
I have a Fiesta and the dust is terrible. First noticed it when i went to the dealership for a test drive of one. after 15 minutes the front hubcaps were filthy.
New GOOD pads are only bout 80 bucks for the front so im going to be doing that soonish :)

Be careful when you're looking for a pad that is low dust. If they are a harder compound, then you might find they have low dust, but they may also wear out your brake discs more quickly.
If you upgrade to 18" wheels you might find that the dust is easier to clean off!
European cars generally have dirtier pads than locally produced or Japanese cars. Hence the difference between your Falcons and the Focus. One you're next set of pads, go for a lower dust version or a locally made pad and that should improve things.

No it just makes need to clean them more cause people only look at the rims so they always have to be super clean!!! Same prob with the 18s i promise!
