Looking for some help or ideas.I have a 2003 Tdci with 44k and its making some strange noises. The car is making groans and graunches on right hand turns only over bumps. nothing turning left. Now this only happens with more than 2 people in the car and is getting worse.Had the car into the dealers twice but they cant find anything up,second time i accompanyed tech but couldnt replicate noise i guess now that having only 2 in car it wasnt going to happen.Has anyone out there got any ideas?
Thanks, is this serious as car is now out of Ford Direct warranty though problem was reported in warranty.Should it be attended to asap?.Forgot to mention you can feel it through the steering wheel. What should i do next any suggestions would be useful.
if the problem was reported while under warranty and you have documentation of it you should be able to have it covered by the dealer. if they won't cover it, i would call Ford directly and tell them the issue. Have you heard of a ChassisEar? Tell the tech to go for a ride with you and hook a few channels of the chassisear up to the front left side and front right side suspension components. have the tech listen while you drive and he should be able to hear the noise if it occurs. bring a few people with you to recreate the symptom for him. this is very useful when diagnosing NVH concerns.
I am having the same problem when I turn my wheel to the right. This is a 2004 focus and I feel that I shouldn't be having these problems. I have already had a front strut replaced, my temperature guage wasn't reading, now my gas, speedometer and temperature guage aren't working. Very frustrated.
I replaced the front stablizer link with a lifetime warranted part I bought from the autopart store. The ball joint in the original link was shot. The lifetime aftermarket part was designed to be much stronger. I was told by some mechanics that Ford engineers recognized the problem but the fix was not in place until one or two years later. I had a front end rattle in my 2002 ZX5. I replaced the stablizer link (about $15) myself right after 36000 miles warranty ran out. You only had to remove two nuts to remove the link.
