Re: Fuel Consumption

We'll have to give you a farewell cruise here before you go. When will it all come about?

Re: Fuel Consumption

Start there July the 5th at this stage. Am free the weekend of July 26/27 I think, any ideas peoples? Would love nothing more than a good drive up the Putty Road, never done it before in the Focus and I think it'd be fun to have a few ST's and other Foci along for a decent drive and lunch together somewhere. Relaxed, fun and a good chance to get the Foci out in the public arena!!

Cheers,
Matt

Re: Fuel Consumption

f you leave July 5th, how can we have a NSW farewell cruise at the end of that month?

Start a thread on it in the club forum if you want to do a farewell cruise or movie night!

Re: Fuel Consumption

My dark angel is able to reach 210 km/h but it's easy for me to do 20 km/l on the highways at 120-130 km/h .......unbeliveble for petrol users

Re: Fuel Consumption

yes gotta love the economy of diesel there, and proves that you can get some good speed out of the cars as well :)

Re: Fuel Consumption

Diesel is the future, not only in economy but also for its performances .

Look at that ...
http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/frame...ar.mv&num=1803
The avarage of using fuel is 16,5 km/l

Bmw is doing the same thing with a 3000 cc with 280 cv , and the way is just open .

Safely it will be quite difficult to see a Ferrari with a diesel but....who does it know

Re: Fuel Consumption

Dont see diesel taking over in AUS for quite a long time ... quality of diesel here i dont think is anywhere as near as good as it is in Europe.

Tho i wouldnt say no to a nice diesel focus

Re: Fuel Consumption

Here you are the result of a test on an original fofo tddi :

City :18,9km/l
90 km/h continuos: 27,9 km/l
120 km/h continuos :20 km/l
130 km/h (highways limit) 17.5 km/l
At top speed :10,2 km/l

These are interesting results ,specially here where a litre of gasoline is over an US dollar while diesel is a little bit cheeper !!!
