Ok. Here is the deal...My wife's breather hose melted. I went to the Ford dealership to get the hose. I put that on with no problem, as it was just one connection to another, or so the dealership said. I am an idiot when it comes to cars, so I just connected the two. Now, when I start the car, it lugs real bad....It WILL stay running, but the idle is REALLY low on it....almost to where it wants to cut off. That is just problem one....
The other problem is now I have practically NO brake power, and I asked my father, who thinks it could be the master cylinder. I had thought of just bleeding the brakes, but he said that probably wouldn't be it since the master cylinder was full. It has been full since we got the new brakes and all put on. I guess my question is what does anyone think it is? Our Ford dealership here in Malvern Arkansas is a joke and won't tell me much....So...long story short.

1. why would my brakes now hardly work...little to no pressure.
2. now my car is lugging when i first turn it on, without using the AC at all....

PLEASE HELP....I don't have that much money to go testing stuff on it...

You may have affected your brake booster valve, I believe it's attached to your air intake.
