2002 focus.

The fan will not turn on in the 1,2,3 positions. 4 will work fine. Anybody have any ideas? is the problem with the switch or elsewhere? I tried a search and couldnt find anything except for one thread. I also checked all of the related fuses and found nothing wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

alright, after a little more indepth searching it looks like its a resistor pack. Anybody have a part number? or can anyone tell me where it is located? Any tricks to changing it?

The blower resistor is located behind the glovebox and can be removed with one small bolt. Easy to change.

yeah, I was a little intoxicated when I signed up...lol

Anyways, so I pop out the glove box, and remove the pack. Great, thanks for the help.

Alright, so, Im guessing that maybe its just the Diode that is bad? Ill have to see if I can get another one before I drop the $$ for a new resistor pack
