Intermittent Alternator/Battery Light Glowing Fault

Hi All,

Good to have joined this forum.

I have a problem with my '52 plate 1.6 Focus.

The alternator/battery light glows randomly on occasions. There does not appear to be any reasons for this i.e. the problem still occurs whether the radio/AC are in use or not.

The car itself has not stalled as a result.

Could this be a ground problem or likely to require a change of parts?

Voltage tests have been taken - with load on battery voltage appears fine however a little low with lights etc on.

Any ideas to resolve this appreciated.

Many thanks.

Seem like you may have found your problem. it could be as simple as a bad connection or a loose belt, to a bad alt/voltage regulator.
