Its Gone Again

Yep

The fuel guage is back to its old tricks, showing empty on a full tank.

Also starting to chew up the juice again.. oh well back to the dealership. :(

Re: Its Gone Again

Yeah my fuel gauge is playin up too, take ages for it to register after being filled up even if you turn the foci ignition on and off a few times(which would fix it before...).

Takin it to 7 turnin it to 11

Re: Its Gone Again

Hi everybody,

The girlfriends CL has been doing that quite regularly. She has taken the car to the dealer and they did something but it still happens. She is going to take back again. We've been racking our brains as to what might be causing it and she seems to be under the illusion that it is climatic change. I noticed that it happens when she puts a lot of fuel into the tank because one evening she filled it from a quarter to full and when she started it the gauge was 0 and the light was on. Whilst the tank remained quite full her car would give dodgy results around half a tank. Turning the car on and off does fix it temporarily. My Zetec has done it once.

Is anyone experiencing problems starting their Foci? Both of our Foci have problems starting (especially when the engine is warm).

The dealer I use has been exceptional, they changed the sender last time, but I gather its just a recon part from Ford OZ rather than a new part, hence its failure

They havent got a drama looking at it again.

45,000km service coming up - and i'll be asking for a sizable list of fixes:
* Gearbox (3rd time)
* Steering click (5th time)
* Brake Shudder (2nd time, and has the applied "Fix")
* etc...

So what your saying is that she already has the keys, has done the shopping, having a latte on Lygon St and you are taking the Focus to the dealer this morning?
