Key Won't Turn In Ignition "00 Focus Zx3 - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

The key will not fit into the ignition on my Wifes 2000 ZX3
I drive the same model car and 3. mos. ago spent over $300. to get this issue fixed at the Ford Dealer. I can't believe there is no recourse for this Faulty Ignition problem on early model Focuses. Ford Cananda - and The Dealer both say "to hell with you - just give me your MONEY$$$$!!

The whole thing has just pissed me of with Ford Canada - It's time to buy a new car again

- AND NO WAY IN HELL WILL IT EVER BE A FORD AGAIN!!!

By the way - I checked the Yellow Pages for Locksmiths - and only found 1 Guy who would repair this - He called back to say he did not have the part and ordering it from Ford would almost = in cost as if I would take it to the dealer for repair. So still stuck with Ford/Dealer

Common problem with the Focus. Try a shot of wd40 in the keyhole, rake your key in and out rapidly about 20 times. Then try to turn it. If you get it on, go to a locksmith ASAP. If you knew what it took for the repair if it won't turn, you wouldn't bitch about the price.
