Lights, temp. gauge, antenna, oh my

While I was sleeping the other night, my wife purchased a 2005 Focus off Ebay. We went to get it, looked decent for 51K miles...from the outside. Open the hood...wala! Its been wrecked! The guy at the dealer let me see the pics before repairs, not real bad, no air bag deployment. Headlamp assemblys, grille, bumper and rt fender replaced, along with some other parts and pieces.
Driving home didn't have any radio...uh oh, no antenna, probably not much of a job, but I did notice that as soon as we started it, the temp gauge went right to normal. Then the headlights got me. They put in some aftermarket replacements, the fit wasn't the greatest, but when I turned them on, I noticed that as the lights reflected in the car lot office window, the rt. side was down, left side was up and brighter. I turned the dimmer to bright, and they reversed, Lt. side dimmer and down, Rt side brighter and up. First thing I thought was that when they put the front end back together, they must have messed up a connection,(still think that), or they didn't focus them but then after reading a few entries on this forum, maybe they got a bad ground, being the temp. gauge isn't reading right either. Hope they are all simple repairs, hate putting more money into it and have something major go wrong. Thanks for any advise on the unit,

First, report this to Ebay, they may be able to do something for you. Temp gage: pull the wire off of the sensor and see what it does. The headlights might just be a mix up in the wire at the head light.

Ever notice that there's so many high performance parts available for GM products?

Did you ever think that maybe they NEED them?
