Probably Because the States have so many regulations in the car industry... American cars are produced for the American market...

The RS could never be produced here because of U.S. emissions laws. Ford is working a worldwide platform to release next year as the 2012 model, but I don't think we're gonna see the Focus RS coming our way though. It would be nice! The RS500 is truely awesome as there is only 500 to be made. They opened it up for pre-orders last week I think and had sold out in less than 4 hours.

Yeah that's right...they ended realy quick...it was incredible...and they were offered in many countries...so it means few for each country. Well I'm not one of those proud owners...but I really like the RS500
