As the title suggests really. Manual Gear Shifter has lost it's self-centering on left side. All gears work fine.

On my old Orion there were sprung loaded plastic blocks within the housing itself to keep the stick centered but having seen the two drawings the Focus setup looks nothing like that.

Is this an easy external fix or is it a gearbox out?

Thats the site o.k . I tried clicking on the link on "JWKO"s reply and as you both said it did not work . I then punched it into my "google search " and it worked perfectly. I also checked it out before posting and it was o.k. That site you used was also listed and was the same , but I took the shorter address. Apologies for messing you about , computers are bigger nightmare than cars at times but a least you got there in the end .

As for the job, that's about as easy as it gets for once. Normally I get simple things that turn out to be a mare because of the way it was designed.
