I would personally suggest that unless you are an experienced mechanic, don't try to replace struts on your own. I recently was having an issue with mine, brought it to the shop at the dealership I work at, and the repair man almost injured himself very badly because the strut mounting was worn away so much that the spring force (coil over shock) ripped the assembly off the car and basically threw itself at him. Luckily, he was standing to the side when it happened. He showed me the pieces that it broke into when he told me the story.
Just a little anecdote to say... struts aren't a do it yourself job.
