Hi, i have a Ford Focus Hatchback - 2008
my engine is 1.6i - 16V, 100 hp

I Have a big problem: I tried to start my car 10 times... and nothing, the starter is ok, the battery is ok but my car cannot start.

After 15 minutes i tried again and the car started...

I visited the Ford Service and the "specialist" said "your car is very good, your car has not any problem!"

Can you help me with some informations?

From what you say ,I take it the engine is turning over but wont fireup / start ? Is this happening often ? You are not touching the accelerator / gas pedal when starting are you ? If it is intermittent it can be hard to locate fault , but if it persists you should return to dealer as car will still be under warranty . They may have to carry out a diagnostic check to see if any faults show up on test .

I didn't touch the gas pedal!
I spoke with dealer and he said "is not a problem after a diagnostic check"
I want more ideas.
I will trasmit yours ideas to the card dealer to make some checks.

hi, I have a ford focus TDCI and it doesnt work!!! It stoped when I was driving in the traffic jam and I couldnt start it again. It tries to start but it actually doesnt. When I used this spray than it worked for a bit. I thought it might be a problem with a bad fuel so i wanted to change it and I had problem to get it out. I dont know what to do... please help

Your problem is a known issue with the starter motor known as hot start problem

Change it for a new one and everything should be fine

If not that then its your camshaft sensor take the plastic cover of and its right on top of the block

This is the problem with intermitant faults and no diagnostic codes wit hyou car been so new i would just keep going back to the dealer and pestering them

After all you payed alot of money for your car only 2 years ago and theres nothing worse then a car you cant realy on

Hey i have the same problem. Starts fine for a while and then nothing. Just one sound (click) under the hood. Changed the starter, battery checked good. Took it dealer they said its the actuator to the ignition switch. They want $500 to fix it (Not going to happen) So far i think its $30 part at auto zone. The actuator switch is easier to replace than the starter was. Good luck!
