Re: new guy here

hey welcome. i'll say your a fair way ahead of us aussies with your focus. we haven't got all that available to us here yet without importing parts, seeing as we've only just got the focus over here..so you'll have to bear with us for a while. heh heh. good to have someone here who knows their focus mods though...expect to have a lot of questions thrown at ya! and heres the first one....what sort of gains did ya get from the diablo sport chip?

my car was a bit torquer and i didn't have to give it so much gas to get it moving. really it doesn't do much unless you have more mods for instance a car like mine with lots of bot-ons will make more power outta the chip than say a regular stock focus with no mods. what is nice about the diablo sport chip is that we can now max out a lot higher than 110mph! and our rev limiter is bumped up to 7,200k rpm. for an automatic the chip make the car shift alot more aggresivly. make sure you clean the terminal where the diablo sport chip goes otherwise your car wont start no joke. there is a waxy ressin on your factory computer board they dip it into. when you order your diablo sport chip it will come with 3m scotch pads and rubbing alcohol. you must then scrub that like a mofo till you see no more resin and the chip sensor is exposed to a nice shine then simply insert chip and put it back togther and enjoy. i thought it was a fairly nice mod. go to focus-central.com they have lots of goodies there for you tell dave focusmike sent you. am i the only guy for the u.s here??? seems like there are a lot of australian people here.

Re: new guy here

wicked car mate- got any pics?

Regarding the diablo chip, it states on the website www.infocusmotorsport.com.au that "The DeltaChip posses the ability to switch between 2 states of tune on the fly and a third position allows the user to turn the chip off completely" Is this the case?

What future mods have you got planned!?

Any yes, there are a lot of aussies on here and very few americans :(

Re: new guy here

im not to sure about delta chips i didn't hear anything bad about them. i know that diablo chips have the same thing where you can go from standard tune to nitrious tune or what else you want them to do. future mods are focus-central underdrive pully 2 piece set and then im going to order a focus central racing head package, it comes with cams and cam sprocket along with everything port and polished. sorry no pics im at work and i have a macintosh computer i am going to see hopefuly i will get some pics soon.

Re: new guy here

aah the wonders of macintosh technology! J/K.

*Matt opens a can of worms*

Basically Macs vs PCs is like Holdens vs Fords. One you'd buy just because everyone else does and because they seem to be better and the other you'd buy because you actually know something about what it is that you're buying, you're not a redneck, you have some real money and you're willing to put up with being a member of the better minority. Macs are faster, better, rarer, their users are more refined and they last longer, they are more powerful and generally a better computer. Just because they don't have a mindless world dominating marketing division that can sell shit to a sewerage treament plant worker doesn't mean they're not better computers.

Same goes for Fords!!! As long as that Skaife wanker is appearing in his own blown up self importance on those stupid " I want one" ads and gay Holden ads simulating a Commondore actually turning a corner then I might consider actually JUST respecting Holden. then again... pigs will fly before that... "I just want - to puke"

Re: new guy here

Nice post to bad im not Mac operator Zetec. I guess its a never ending battle like you said. I do rember when Mac and PC was more into the fighting game but its definatly dwindled away. Im sure bill owns Apple now anyways doesnt he.

Re: new guy here

in the great scheme of things bill (or "bile" is the correct spelling, no really!) probably owns both ford and general motors so we're all screwed anyways.
